Orchid Cruises 3 days 2 nights

On the first day, at 9:10, you will be picked up at the appointed location at Hanoi Old Quarter. We will head to Got Ferry Terminal in Cat Hai Town of Hai Phong City. This is also an opportunity to see Dinh Vu bridge – the longest cross-sea bridge of Southeast Asia. We will arrive at about 11:30. At Orchid Cruises’ lounge, you have time to enjoy tea in a warm greeting of the crew.

All the passengers will embark at 12:15. Then you can have a Welcome Drink, while staff gives cruise brief and safety instructions. Right after everyone has checked in, our journey begins.

At 13:00, you will catch sight of the Hon Dau lighthouse, which was built by the French from 1892 to 1892. While the ship passes the stunning islets of Con Vit area, a buffet lunch will be ready to serve you. The shape of the Con Vit islet will take you by surprise. It absolutely resembles a duck; that’s why it has the name Con Vit which means a duck. This untouched area is tranquil since other ships rarely use this route.

At 14:15, we are supposed to arrive at Gia Luan. Here we will approach Trung Trang cave by company bus. Hidden under the canopies of Kim Giao forest, the cave is a charming attraction on Cat Ba Island. The cave is approximately 300 meters long into the mountain. Two thousand years ago, nature created the cave and packed it with numerous stalactites of strange shapes. You can also wander a bit to see Trung Trang Valley – the biggest valley on the whole island.

At 17:00 Orchid Cruise is going to take you to Tra Bau in Lan Ha Bay. Many people might never know the existence of Lan Ha Bay, but this bay includes a lot of majestic primitive islands. This 7000-hectare bay is right next to Halong Bay. The water in Tra Bau is incredibly clear, so it’s perfect for swimming and kayaking.

At 17:45, we go back to the Orchid ship to admire the overwhelming beauty of the sunset on the Gulf of Tonkin. Then you will have happy moments in a cooking class on board. Here you can learn how to make traditional Vietnamese dishes. Please note that massage service is also available. You just need to ask Cruise Manager about it.

At 19:30, luxurious Candlelight Deluxe Dinner is ready on the table for you to enjoy. Flavorful dishes of both Western and Asian culinary prepared by professional cooks will surely satisfy your taste.

After the dinner is time for free activities, you can either contemplate the outstanding seascape on a starry night while sipping your favorite drink. Or just have a peaceful movie time with your family. Meeting new friends in the bar is also not a bad idea. If those who want something more active, squid fishing is probably the first choice. Just don’t go to bed too late because you still need to save your energy for the rest of the trip.

Waking up at 6:15 and joining a Tai Chi session may not sound similar to you, but that’s what you should try on the cruise. Watching the sea sparkling in the morning sunshine is really enjoyable. After breakfast, the journey will continue.

At 8:30, we move to Orchid Day Boat and visit Viet Hai Village. The village is small but still attractive as the landscape around it is splendid. A bicycle trip is perfect for taking you through a verdant rain forest, as well as dark tunnels. Visitors would love to see vast rice fields and ancient local houses here too. The houses made from natural materials somehow tell you about the Vietnamese’s life. If you don’t find bicycles so convenient, electric cars are available.

When you get back to the day boat, we can have lunch before recommencing the trip.

At 13:30, we will reach one of the most fantastic beaches on the bay – Ba Trai Dao Beach. The beach is more than 20 kilometers southeast of the Bai Chay tourist port. The poetic wild beauty is what makes the beach well-known. Ba Trai Dao means three peaches implies the three mountains here. The water level here is quite shallow compared to other shores of Halong Bay. In particular, the strange and unique shapes of the cliffs are also an interesting thing to see. The flora here is rich, making the scenery even more catching. Immersing yourself in the emerald water, kayaking, or sunbathing are all good choices.

At 15:00, we return to the Orchid ship to join another cooking class. Our chef will help you to prepare some more delicious dishes. Then we can watch the sunset, as well as enjoy Happy Hour in the evening.

19:30 is dinner time. Then you can join any activities you want. Spend a romantic and unforgettable night with your beloved!

At 6:15, we will together practice Tai Chi to enhance our health and spirit. After that, we have breakfast while enjoying the fresh air and sunlight. Our next destination is Frog Lake.

Frog Lake area is one of the hottest tourist attractions of Lan Ha Bay. Here you can once again feel the greatness of nature. The superb landscape is created by imposing mountains, crystal clear water, and little tranquil sandy beaches. Kayaking is a perfect option here since there are many small islets and caves to visit.

At 7:45, we reach Frog Lake and spend a good time discovering the area.

At 9:30, we need to come back to the ship because it is the check-out time.

From 10:00 to 10:30, we together have brunch and join the Tea Ceremony. As tea is a vital part of Vietnam’s culture, the ceremony is the right way for you to know more about this nation.

At 11:35, we all go back to the south of the bay. On the quayside, passengers will disembark. Then we head to Got ferry terminal, and then back to Hanoi. The cruise ends up with a lot of happy memories left in the visitors’ hearts.
