Suzuki DR-Z400 Rental

Suzuki DR-Z400S

Suzuki DR-Z400S is a great option at an affordable price to balance the needs between on-road and off-road. The motorcycle has 5-speed constant mesh transmission, 398 cm3 (24.3 cu.in) engine displacement, and 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine type.

Suzuki DR-Z400S is the only Japanese motocross that uses 400 cm3 engine displacement. More than that, it’s a balanced cross between on-road and off-road that none of its rivals has. DR-Z originates from Japan, where Honda and Kawasaki offer the motocross with 230 cm3, 250cm3, 650 cm3 engine displacements while Yamaha’s come with 200 and 250 cm3. As for Europe, the brands like Beta, Husqvarna, and KTM manufacture the engine displacements with 350 and 450 cm3.

DR-Z400S is a bridge across the gap between 250cm3 motocross machine and the 650cm3 ones. Compared to DR-Z650SE with the same design, DR-Z5400S is lighter with a weight of 118kg. DR-Z400S has 31.2 horsepower, the torque of an advanced engine is 23.5Nm that is considerably more powerful than the old version of DR-Z400 with 10.4Nm of torque.

Apart from cutting down the weight, the new DR-Z has a harder suspension front set up with some details for the purpose of developing the DR-Z’s ability to the fullest that turns off-road competence into dangerous arms. The rake system comes with full adjustments and the front brake can work better on off-road plus a new set of tires to boost up off-road riders’ confidence.

The front fork with the diameter of 49 mm works with an adjustable shock absorber in the back to create a perfect suspension system, easy to change from on-road to the off-road shock absorber.

The front brake with 250mm 2 piston is important when running off-road because it’s easy to adjust and highly safe, while the rare brake goes with 220mm 1 piston.

Suzuki also equips DR-Z with a digital instrument cluster of an interval timer, a timer, a distance measure, and so on. Besides, it also goes with footpegs for passenger, helmet lock, and the seat is much more comfortable than those of the same type.

DR-Z400S has no direct rivals in terms of model and price. Its starting price in the USA is from 6200 USD, such an advantage. DR-Z is a model for those who want a good motorbike for daily traffic with the capability of going on some adventures.

Suzuki DR-Z400SM

This is a light, small Supermoto. Realizing that the customers are more and more interested in light and small Supermoto due to the economic downturn, Suzuki has brought forth this motorbike to meet the market needs. It’s very practical to consumers, especially adventurous riders.

Despite being armed with a relatively small engine, it’s still a very interesting model for zipping around the city or going for a picnic at the weekend. This motorbike can even create a sense of excitement on dirt roads when the shock absorber exerting its power.

SM400 is great to run on the highway, too. You can run with a speed of 120km/hr and everything is still under your control. However, it’s going to be lighter and unsafe at the speed of 135km/hr. With the height of 89cm, its saddle does not fit people who are 1m80 high, and it’s the only one disadvantage of this model. But it’s just the first feeling because when you jump on the saddle, the soft shock absorber will lower the height and you can still touch your feet on the ground.

With the capacity of 9.8 litters, the fuel tank is quite small for a motorbike. Even though, it’s enough to take you away quite far thanks to a small, fuel-efficient engine.

Suzuki DR-Z400SM has a strong braking performance, which is supplied by a front disc brake with a large 300mm floating-type rotor and 2 piston caliper and a 240mm rear disc brake with 1 piston caliper that combines with an aluminum swingarm to weigh it down. 17-inch rims made from very lightweight metals.

The front damper is fitted with a couple of inverted forks, long travel, adjustable rebound, and compression settings, and the cylinder is coated with alumite for smoothly rebounding. The rear fork utilizes mono-shock.

SM400’s assembled with aluminum rims and a 120/70-R17 front radial tire and 140/70-R17 rear one.

398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, DOHC, and 5-speed transmission.

The center console uses an LCD screen and many fairly modern function buttons.

The front and rear lights are square. The un-laden weight of the model is only 146 kg.
