Kick off an exciting day at 8:30 am after a hearty breakfast in Hanoi. With a distance of 60 kilometers to the Northwest of Hanoi Capital, Ba Vi appears in front of your eyes after one and a half hours rolling on the tracks and single tracks. Ba Vi is a semi-mountainous district where you can uncover 3 main areas: Ba Vi mountain foot, Suoi Hai Lake, Tich river with the hot mineral water. Apart from marvelous natural landscapes, the unique culture of ethnic minorities is definitely worth experiencing. Tourists can pay a visit to the traditional long-standing craft villages and dairy farms to buy some souvenirs and hunt photo shots to feed their Instagram.
The first and foremost place to explore is Ba Vi National Park which is in the middle of the semi-mountainous and hilly region of Doai, renowned for 3 peaks: King Peak (1,296m), Tan Vien Peak (1,226m), and Ngoc Hoa Peak (1,131m), surrounding various waterfalls pouring down days and nights, forming scenic tourist spots of Khoang Xanh, Ao Vua, Thac Nga, and Suoi Ngoc.
Located in the massive massif, stretching to the top of Vien Nam in Hoa Binh, this site always pleases tourists with the cool and fresh air, the rich eco-system and the diverse vegetation. That’s the reason why Ba Vi is likened as the “Green Lung” in the Northwestern Hanoi City. Besides, Ba Vi restores an excellent flora system with 1,209 species, including 21 rare and precious species recorded in the Vietnam Red Book. The fauna is pretty miscellaneous with 63 mammal species, 115 bird species, 61 reptile species, 27 amphibian species. Just witness by the naked eyes, you can feel completely how diverse and wonderful they are.
In addition, the historical value is one of the prominent points visitors must explore. We will get more about Van Lang's 18th King's culture and a deeper sense of Son Tinh's love with Princess Ngoc Hoa. On the top of the King peak is the Temple of President Ho Chi Minh, the outstanding hero of the Vietnamese Nation. At a height of 600m is a revolutionary historical site marking a brave battle between our soldiers and the French colonialists in the Hoa Binh campaign in 1952.

1. Ba Vi Ancient Church
The church is located at an altitude of 800 meters, embraced by the old forest canopy. Being built by the French colonialists, its architecture is dreamlike with the European classical features. 2. Cactus Greenhouse
Located in Ba Vi National Park, Cactus Garden is currently home to more than 1200 varieties of small and large cactus from around the world. One of the highlights of Cactus Garden is its beautifully designed dome, which creates an environment suitable for growing up cactus. Stepping inside, you will feel overwhelmed by the mysterious space with thorny cacti which are higher than your body, which makes you feel like being lost in a desert.

3. Bao Thien tower
It was built close by the temple of President Ho Chi Minh on the top of King Peak and completed in 2010 on the occasion of 1000 years of Thang Long - Hanoi. The tower is about 27 meters high with 13 floors. There is a large number of bronze wine gourds at the top, around the tower are 88 large and small statues and 8 Buddhist Deities facing in 8 directions.
4. Thuong Temple
Thuong temple is the place worshiping Tan Vien Saint - the most sacred saint in the hearts of people here. According to the legend, to build the Thuong temple, the feudal state had to mobilize a huge human resource to transfer materials from Da river to Tan mountain peak to build the temple with a unique architecture simulating the symbol of the Buddha.

5. Historical area K9 (Da Chong)
The relic is located on the right bank of the Da River. It is called "Da Chong" because there are sharp rocks like spikes heading straight into the sky. Besides, this is also the birthplace of the legend of Sơn Tinh - Thủy Tinh- a myth about the power of conquering the nature of ancient Vietnamese.
Ba Vi is not only famous for its beautiful landscapes but also specialties such as Lam rice, goat meat, ostrich meat, hill chicken meat, dairy products. It is really a big regret if we don’t taste these dishes when coming here.
